Vax & Protect is designed to keep your pet-care information private.
You may add pet names, pet type, breeds, gender, ear tag numbers, birthdates, profile photos, weight, vaccination details, antiparasite treatment details, clinic names, notes, and due dates.
This information is stored using Apple’s SwiftData framework. When iCloud sync is enabled, Apple CloudKit stores and syncs the data in your private iCloud database for devices signed in to your Apple ID. Vax & Protect does not send this information to the developer, advertising networks, analytics services, or other third parties.
The app also lets you export a backup file that you control. If you choose to save or share that file, it is handled by Apple’s system file and sharing interfaces.
The app uses Apple’s system photo picker. A photo is copied into the app only when you explicitly select it.
If you allow notifications, Vax & Protect schedules local reminders on your device for upcoming treatment due dates and optional monthly backup reminders. Notification scheduling does not send your pet-care information to the developer.
The Vet Clinics feature can show veterinary clinics near you. If you grant location permission, your device’s coordinates are sent to Google’s Places service (operated by Google LLC) solely to search for nearby clinics, and are handled under Google’s Privacy Policy. If you search for clinics by city or area name, that search text is sent to the same service. Vax & Protect does not store your location, does not link it to your identity, and does not use it for advertising or tracking.
Location access is optional — every other feature of the app works without it — and you can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Vax & Protect does not track you, display advertising, use third-party analytics, or collect diagnostics from the app.
You can delete individual treatment records or pet profiles within the app. Deleting a pet also deletes its associated treatment history. If iCloud sync is enabled, deletion may also sync to your private iCloud database. You can keep separate backup files by exporting them from Settings.
Vax & Protect is a general pet-care organization tool and is not directed to children.
If this policy changes, the updated policy will be posted at the Privacy Policy URL shown on the App Store listing.
